DETECTION DOG DEMONSTRATION:
We will have two canine visitors at our next General Meeting, March 6 at 6PM at Table on the Green (Midland Country Club).
Snippet, owned by Member Tiffany Teeter, is an object search firearms specialist. She works on and off leash to detect spent gun shells, gun powder and guns. Whether it is inside a building, a vehicle, locker room or outdoors—she has the nose that knows.
Cole is an off-leash crude oil pipeline leak detection dog. His handler follows on foot or on an ATV. With adequate rests, he can search 4-6 hours a day covering 12-18 miles of buried pipeline. He is certified on amounts as small as 1/4 of an ounce buried 4 feet dep in solid sand.
Join us at our meeting and see an example of working dogs that you won’t hear about every day!
